I make YOUR STORIES LIVE!

My writing specialties include:

  • Human interest profiles
  • Travel destination pieces
  • Stories of the American West

All are written with a flair that has been developed over almost two decades of professional freelance writing. I find ‘the story’ in the story and make the ordinary entertaining and interesting without distorting facts. Whenever possible, my sources are primary.

If this isn’t possible, my secondary writing research is thorough and factual. As a freelance writer and journalist, I have developed an extraordinary collection of contacts, as well as being a member of the North American Travel Journalists Assn. and Western Writers of America. (Membership in both organizations is juried.)

My works have been published in many national and regional magazines and periodicals. I am co-authoring the 2010 Centennial Book for the Pendleton Round-Up, along with Michael Bales, which will be published by Graphic Arts, in Portland, Oregon, and is due out in 2009 (See What's New? for more information).

Go to http://www.travelworldmagazine.com/contributors for a sampling of some of my travel writing. My e-zine http://www.travelsavvynews.com is online with a new edition monthly. It gives you an eclectic choice of travel ideas and opportunities within the USA. Check it out!

Hope to hear from you, and look forward to working with you to craft your story so it lives!

Like the guns of the Old West, my pen is poised and ready for hire!

Fees are negotiable. I will travel to a destination to ‘get the story’.
