For me, the globe is a vacation, a vocation and my theater. The American West is my Frontier. As a non-fiction writer, I specialize in freelance travel writing, freelance equestrian writing and freelance Western writing A native of Pendleton, Oregon, home of the world-famous Pendleton Round-Up (rodeo) and Happy Canyon night pageant, I have been associated with cowboys, Indians and rodeo (even as a competitor) all my life. I have a unique understanding of these cultures and of the Pendleton Round-Up and the Pacific Northwest.

Travel has been my mantra for the last 30 years. Freelance travel writing, freelance equestrian writing and freelance Western magazine article writing have been my career for the last 15 years. My travels have taken me to China (one of the first to be admitted during the normalization with the USA in 1979); the crème de la crème of the horse farms in Normandy, France; the track kitchen and barns at Churchill Downs during Kentucky Derby week (6 years in a row); an overnight in the Ice Hotel, Quebec, Canada, (very cool!) and a visit with the High Priestess of VooDoo in New Orleans, LA. My non-fiction writing is varied and Paris, London, Rome and Hong Kong remain as favorite subjects on my world stage, as well as the Pacific Northwest and especially the Pendleton Round-Up.

I have a broad understanding of this planet and its people. Non-fiction writing about this is my passion.  As a non-fiction writer, specializing in travel, equestrian and Western stories, my pen, like the guns of  the old West, is for hire.
